No other jazz album has come remotely near acquiring the kind of cachet Kind of Blue has accumulated over the years since it was recorded. It’s an album that has probably converted more jazz non-believers into the jazz faith than any other and has been the toe dip into the jazz sea for millions. For a lot of people, it's one of the few jazz albums they can listen to before running screaming back to the safety of the beach when something like 'Love Supreme' comes on.
Unbelievably, it was made on the cheap – a few thousand dollars to Davis, union scale payment to his six piece band, nine hours studio time, four reels of tape and a piano tuner’s fee.
Not bad for one of the greatest musical recordings ever made.
Printed on 250 gsm matt paper the poster is available in six sizes and three framed colour options, black, white and wood.
