'Hounds Of Love' was Kate's fifth studio album and the second that she self produced.
The title track is inspired by 'Night Of The Demon' an old black-and-white film which was a family favourite. The song's opening line "It's coming! It's in the trees!" is taken directly from the film.
According to Kate, the hounds of love that are hunting you is imagery for love itself as something to be feared, to run away from lest it catch you and rip you up.
