Written in August 1979, 'Love Will Tear Us Apart' was played live for the first time when the band supported Buzzcocks on tour in Autumn 1979.

It was first released as a single in June 1980 and became the band's first chart hit, reaching number 13. Somewhat bizarrely, it also charted later on that year on the American disco/dance chart.

It is one of the few songs in which singer Ian Curtis could be persuaded to play guitar on live performances. The title is an ironic reference to the Captain and Tennille song, 'Love Will Keep Us Together' and reflects the marriage problems he was experiencing at the time.

Printed on 250 gsm matt paper the poster is available in four size and three frame colour options, black, white and wood.

The frames we use are made from solid wood, sourced from a sustainable forest.
