Main songwriter, Brian Wilson had retired from live performance after suffering a panic attack whilst flying in 1964.
From then on he concentrated on studio work while the remaining band members continued touring.
Pet Sounds was released in May 1966 to a lukewarm response both in the US and from other band members.
It did far better in the UK and has come to be regarded as the first concept album, advancing what was possible in the recording studio and of course, is now regarded as one of the most influential albums of all time.
Printed on 250 gsm matt paper the poster is available in four size and three frame colour options, black, white and wood.
